Run, Jeremiah Run!
This is a heartfelt story of a foster child who is running after love. After the death of his grandmother, Jeremiah bounces around from home to home. Each home he runs into eventually returns him to Children’s Services leaving him feeling unwanted and unloved. Holding on to the ‘strong words’ his grandmother instilled in him, he keeps the last strand of his hope from unraveling.
Jeremiah loves to run, but running usually leads him into trouble. No one seems to understand his need to run. Other don’t understand how running makes him feel set free like a caged bird. However, Jeremiah is consequently negating his future by running away from his past and he doesn’t realize the affect it is having on his present situation.
Nevertheless God has a plan, but will Jeremiah’s mustard seed faith grow into an answered prayer?
Mabel Elizabeth Singletray engages her readers with the compelling story of a foster child who, like all foster children, wants to be part of a family. Singletray stirs up emotions that cause the reader‘s heart to ache for the character Jeremiah. An excellent read for children and adults.
