Reading the book description above also brought to mind a popular metaphor . . . find a chair; look at it closely by examining its design and determine if it will actually support your weight? More than likely when you sit in this chair you've chosen one that looks solid and you have no doubts it will support your weight. But when you walk over to a chair without any examination at all and sit in it, and it supports you -- that's faith, pure and simple!
