It captures her delightful applications of biblical truths to everyday realities and makes those winning segments yours to enjoy anyplace, anytime

Each of the nearly forty Points of Power encourages, uplifts, and comforts. The Points offer material for meditation and reveal a blueprint for harnessing the force of God. Key scriptures with practical applications, helpful prayers, and prompts for self-reflection all help you access the authority and benevolence of God.

The Points of Power themes–faith, love, forgiveness, confession, praise, confidence, prayer, peace, protection, and victory–are freshly presented in an entertaining gathering of stories and anecdotes. The message throughout is that God intends for you to be successful, victorious, and happy.

God has given you benefits and privileges, including the power to change your life, your attitude, and your outlook. POINTS OF POWER will show you how!

Post a comment below for your chance to win a FREE copy!

A collection of wise, compelling, and often uproariously funny essays built around the experience of music as a transformational element in a moment of truth, Hear No Evil mines Matthew Paul Turner’s humorous memories of his evangelical youth and invites readers to groove along on his journey.

From attending forbidden contemporary Christian concerts to moving to “Music City” Nashville, Hear No Evil chronicles Turner’s “life soundtrack” which morphs seamlessly into the stories of people, places, and experiences that have taught the music-editor-turned-author some new things about God, forced him out of his comfort zone, and introduced him to a fresh view of grace along the way.

If you’ve ever had the opening bars of a song transport you back in time or remind you of a pivotal spiritual moment, Matthew Paul Turner’s honest—and frequently hilarious—musings will strike a chord. Straight forward and amusing, Hear No Evil is an exploration of a life of faith lived to a personal soundtrack.

Her words are like talons that hooked into my heart and reeled me into her past, a world where suffering is extreme but grace is sufficient; a place where her world and mine collide. This is my story, indeed.

What if you could retrace your life and discover its thin places-places where the division between this world and the eternal fades?

“Thin Places are matches of holy ground, tucked into the corners of our world, where we might just catch a glimpse of eternity. They are aha moments, the beautiful realization.

In her moving spiritual memoir, Mary DeMuth traces the winding path of thin places in her life, places where she experienced longing and healing more intensely than before. Mary’s story invites you to a deeper understand of your own story. She calls you to discover new ways to look for God in the past so that you might experience him more profoundly in the present…A God read to break through any ordinary day or extraordinary pain and offer you a glimpse of eternity.

Off to my room I went – dejected and devoid of all hope. The tears came quickly in the quiet of my room. Emotion, especially tears, was an expression of feelings that were not allowed in our household. As a matter of fact, this era did not support the outward showing of emotion period! It was the philosophy that, “Grown men don’t cry!” Why not?

Men were supposed to be strong, masculine, and reserved. Showing other emotions diminished that role. Tears were not to be shown. Hugs and saying “I love you” were rarely seen nor were they acceptable.

Terry Miller was born on August 25, 1939 in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. He grew up in a small town of Thurmount, Maryland during the 1940′s and 50′s. He was inspired to share this memoir dealing with the struggles of climbing life’s mountains; more importantly, the victories achieved along the way. It takes the reader though life’s experiences that evolve into personal growth lessons and lasting spiritual strengths.

Terry resides with his wife on a five acre country setting in Waxahachie, Texas with their horses and a “free range” dog named Smokey. Terry and his wife have four adult children and six grandchildren. He retired from a career in banking and is the Director of Pastoral Care in Waxahachie Bible Church.

Born in Cambodia and orphaned at an early age, Somaly Mam, a Buddhist sex trade survivor, grew up never knowing her real name or birthday.

As a teenager, Somaly Mam was sold into prostitution and spent years in the brothels of Cambodia where she witnessed and experienced the full-blown horrors of the human sex trade – rape, torture, and nearly unfathomable abuse. After her eventual escape, she could not forget the young girls (some as young as 5) left behind in the brothels, and so she returned to serve them. Her new book, “The Road of Lost Innocence,” is her newest means of advocacy. It tells her personal story, ultimately inviting people of conscious, such as our Christian community, to become involved (or to continue involvement) in this war against an epic evil, a modern battle for the least of these. Truly, not only is this book worth reading, it’s worth sharing.

This is a graceful montage of emotions, a literary composite of juxtaposed. It’s obvious that the heterogeneous elements contained within the pages of this book were inspired by a life touched by the Creator of life. Grant inlayed small pieces of variously colored memories of her life and created Mosaic.

Upon the pages were collections of soft textured reminiscences, poetry and lyrics. It offered light and refreshing thoughts that were easy like warm cider on a crisp autumn day.

<city></city>

<place></place>What I identified with the most in Mosaic is the truth of performing juggling acts with the numerous roles in our lives. We as women have to find that delicate balance of being a wife and mother while earning an income and remaining faithful to the One who makes it all possible. Grant summed it up in her poem entitled…“Hats!” Through the wording of experiences in her life, I recognized traces of my own life within her prose. The fears, tears and unforgettable years that have been etched in her heart, I could relate. She has endured some of the same struggles, and hoped for answers to some of the same prayers as other Christians.

Sometimes we become enumerated with the fame a person has, but seldom are we exposed to the human, ordinary side. Grant allows you to see her as she is, without the glitz and fame. Surprisingly, she’s no different than you or I, that’s what makes this book cozy and pleasant.
